Give a man a program, he will have bugs for a few days. Teach a man to vibe code, he will have bugs for a lifetime.

@___frye We should 10x (or more) the House. One district per 30-50k citizens, much as it was in the early 19th century. That should give us ~5-10k members of the House, and much less (still non-zero) opportunity to gerrymander.

how would you practically ban gerrymandering? i’m imagining some king solomon stuff. like politicians have to be able to cross their district on foot between sunup and sundown

How do you look at this graph and decide that it's because AI started replacing entry-level workers in early 2025?

@ColinCannell @patio11 Guessing his house was built on a slab. Later, some remodeling required additional pipes. Without a crawl space/basement, the attic is the only available option.

@patio11 Wonder if the rise in plumbing disasters is due to the rise in aging homes with plumbing on upper floors. Coworker of mine had a six-figure insurance claim caused by the bursting of a pipe in his attic while he was on vacation. Why there was plumbing in his attic I'll never know.

A good breaded pork tenderloin sandwich is hard to find outside of the midwest (one might even claim that it's hard to find outside of east central Indiana). Or you can get a schnitzelsemmel in Bavaria that is almost the same thing (including the comically small bun).

I consider my Chevy Bolt a small car in the US, but it's easily larger than 95% of the cars I saw in Rome. I don't recall seeing a single large pickup truck anywhere, only a few small utility trucks (the actually useful kind).

Took the whole family to Europe this month. The trip was amazing. This is a thread of random observations, that will probably grow as I reflect on the trip.
