🚨JUST IN: New Jersey politicians are calling to STOP advertising the World Cup because FIFA are calling it the "New York World Cup" despite all games bing played in New Jersey. "Why would we put $26,000,000.00 of New Jersey tax payer dollars behind a false advertisement?"

Plenty of things to complain about. But you're angry about a halftime show at a World Cup final?! In what way does it ruin your experience?
Jeffrey Levine@jklevine63

@AlexiLalas Halftime show absolutely ridiculous. NOBODY wants this.

@BlueBoxDave For those events they can use the 23,000+ parking spaces and has uber pickup/drop off spots which NJ transit accounted for that in their plan. What they didn’t account for was FIFA saying they can’t use that 2 months before the WC. And they’re not just hosting 1 match…

I’m completely confused about the Met Life stadium transit crisis for the World Cup. This place hosts 17 NFL games a year and massive concerts, how many people are they expecting for Ghana vs Bosnia-Herztagovina match, or whatever?

Lol. Europe in 2026 exists largely as a museum to the past, a Disneyland for Americans. We will find other Disneylands to visit, while you will continue to fade into irrelevance on the global stage. Then again, you all are experts at repeatedly shooting yourselves in the foot, so no one can claim you aren't at least consistent.

Laura Ingraham did not tell the British Prime Minister to go back to his tea and crumpets because she was having a bad day. She did it because that is the job. Ingraham, Jesse Watters, and Sean Hannity denounced NATO on the same evening as “kind of a meaningless ally” that “we’ve had it with.” Same night. Three hosts. One message. That is not coincidence. That is a programme. You do not simply announce one morning that NATO is finished. The American public retains a residual affection for allies. Some of them have been to Paris. Abandoning Europe requires, first, that Europe be made to seem unworthy. Ungrateful. Weak. Smelling faintly of crumpets. So every crisis becomes an opportunity. A European diplomat put it with weary precision: “It’s like Groundhog Day. The reasons can be different, defense spending, Greenland, the Strait of Hormuz, but the threats keep returning.” Fox’s hosts, unable to admit that the Iran war they cheered into existence is deteriorating, have found their scapegoat: NATO allies who were never consulted before the war began and declined to join it. The people who started the fire are furious at the neighbours for not helping spread it. The White House confirmed the direction. An official told Fox News that Trump has “zero expectations for NATO at this point” and that the alliance had “failed.” The test, to be clear, was whether European democracies would join a war their own populations rejected. They declined. Apparently that is failure. The only time Article 5 was ever invoked was after September 11th, and Europeans served with distinction in Afghanistan. But that history is inconvenient. Better to focus on the tea. Every insult Ingraham delivers is a brick in the same wall. And when the wall is high enough, the announcement will come. And it will feel, to Fox viewers, like the obvious conclusion to an argument they have been having for years. They will not remember that the argument was constructed for them, one crumpet joke at a time. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

New Jersey is ready and excited to host eight FIFA World Cup matches this summer – including the World Cup Final. Since I took office, my Administration has been working to prepare for the biggest sporting event our state has ever seen – and today, NJ TRANSIT released their Mobility Plan to move 40,000 fans to and from each match safely and efficiently. In the FIFA World Cup agreement that my Administration inherited, FIFA put zero dollars towards transporting World Cup fans. It also eliminated parking at MetLife Stadium, putting the burden of transporting four times more matchday riders than typical for an event at the stadium on NJ TRANSIT. This agreement will cost NJ TRANSIT at least $48 million, while FIFA is positioned to make $11 billion during the World Cup. As I have said repeatedly, FIFA should cover the cost of transporting its fans. If it won’t, we will not be subsidizing World Cup ticket holders on the backs of New Jerseyans who rely on NJ TRANSIT every day.

@carolecadwalla You should ask Lebanese people to post any screenshots they may have taken a year ago, two years ago etc to see whether the names were there before.

If you search minor place names in Lebanon, you won’t get the village or town name. But eg beach or mosque is there. There maybe perfectly reasonable explanation for this, but if so Apple should say it on the record. On background is bullshit & journalists should just say no 6/

Is Apple deleting place names from its map of southern Lebanon? I emailed Apple to fact check this viral claim & I’m publishing its bullshit response in full as a teachable moment. This ‘on background’ crap is how tech companies avoid accountability. 1/

I literally had to go see this for myself. Sure enough. Apple Maps has removed almost every town in Lebanon from the map while keeping every podunk town in Israel and Syria clearly marked.

I voted for Trump. I thought he was tolerable enough to survive for four more years to avoid dealing with the consequences of having someone in office who closely aligned with Democratic Socialist policies. I can’t defend this type of speech and behavior from someone who uses Christianity as a platform to gain sympathetic votes, rather than a true saving faith that guides their decisions. I believe men are justified not by works, but by faith alone in Christ’s finished work on the cross so that no man can boast (Eph. 2:8-9). But I also believe as James 2 says that faith without works is dead, and that the fruit of a truly changed life are works (John 15:5). Trump doesn’t speak like a man changed. He doesn’t speak with any love, compassion, or calculated and controlled strength. He only acts out of his own interests. The leader of the free world should never push for GENOCIDE as a solution for resolution of war, let alone anything else. This isn’t to say that there wasn’t some type of intervention needed in Iran. But I don’t see how anyone with a brain or a heart can support the way he speaks and acts in office. This is not a “Christian, conservative president”. This is a dictator in disguise.

🚨🚨WAR CRIME ALERT!!🚨🚨- Trump on Iran: "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. The definition of genocide is destroying an entire civilization/people! Trump literally sounds like an unhinged super villain from a Marvel comic movie. This IS NOT WHAT WE VOTED FOR!!!

I will admit it. I LOVED Trump unhinged when he was on the campaign trail. He was outspoken, politically incorrect and fearless in his brutality. And I loved it. In the wake of so much political correctness, it was refreshing to see a man who didn't care what people thought. He was a breath of fresh air. He wasn't a politician and that's what I loved about him. The problem is, our chickens have come home to roots. We said, "let Trump be Trump." Now here we are. On the brink of nuclear war. Pray for America. We did this to ourselves. And to the world.
