@FabrizioRomano So the man who didn’t want to move out of London and turned down other potential moves whilst a Chelsea player moves abroad as soon as he is a free agent!

How is Andrew Porter an international prop? Good around the pitch but an absolute liability in the scrum as he is never square

@lionsofficial It’s to be hoped he’s not reffing a test match. Too scared to make a decision on scrums and completely inconsistent.

@riversorare @jaredwright17 It is definitely forward, for it to have gone back it would have travelled in the direction of the dead ball line. Just because he is running back towards his own try line does not mean that the directions are reversed.

@jaredwright17 Thats ridiculous. Has he just made up this ‘palm facing forward’ rule? Surely it’s irrelevant if he still plays the ball back?

@kay_mothudi @rugby_ap Except it’s hard to scrum when the opposition prop has gone missing, straight and square is supposed to be the referee mantra, not so for any of the last few scrums that went SA way

@rugby_ap They can whine as much even Ben mentioned the previous scrum before giving the last to SA. England were just obliterated at scrum time.

The game winning scrum was an interesting one. Could definitely call for a reset there because both Ox and Genge went at ludicrous angles. O’Keeffe called a knee to the ground first but I also think it was lost on the reset before where Sinckler tried to milk the clock after O’Keefe had the entire game been trying to speed up the scrums.

@andNickMullins Scrum penalty should have gone England’s way, the angle of 18 Green was ridiculous!

It’s not been an easy job supporting England of late - they’ve copped some stick - but they took us all on some ride tonight. Within minutes of a World Cup final. Those Boks though. And that scrum.

@cardwell_samuel @benjaminryan Fiji had the opportunities but didn’t take the points, even had an opportunity with the last play but knocked it on. I don’t believe Carley was biased or had as bad a game as some seem to think but poor game management and individual errors is what ultimately cost Fiji.

@benjaminryan Wales cheated their way to that win along with some pretty poor referee decisions. Fiji did not deserve to lose. But the all Welsh panel on ITV will not admit that.

@MarcC883103 @benjaminryan Knee grounded short of the line so tackle complete, at that point he can place the ball but not use knee and feet to propel forward, hence double movement. Correct decision so back to penalty advantage. Accurate refereeing

@benjaminryan I always fail to understand why we're referees from Australia and NZ or Europe why all from England and Ireland. When Clearly we all know that Wales is part of UK this is outright bias.

@KellyOrner Completely different circumstances 2 penalties a warning and the next one was sent to the bin. Fiji drag down a rolling maul 5m from the line, could easily have been a penalty try as well as yellow but just a yellow.

@CianTracey1 For everyone in the comments confused as to why it wasn't a red, the new Super Rugby law is that the ref automatically gives a yellow without checking further, the TMO then review the decision off field so there's no time wasted and upgrade to a red if necessary (like this case)

@tlyons3 @willcarling He is trying to avoid the collision and has attempted to minimise his profile. Even following the protocol there is plenty of mitigation and the most this should have been is yellow. Ryan on Ludlum now that was a red and not even called!

@willcarling He didn't need to avoid the collision. He needed to accept the collision, like a soak tackle, he could have simply gotten run into. Instead he turned and stuck in a shoulder, hip and elbow. His decision, not a "reaction", not a play for the ball that resulted in a collision.

Would love to ask the referee and the media pundits who said it was a red card, the simple question. With Keenan off balance and running right at him, what was Freddie Steward meant to do to avoid that collision?

@edujones14 @nessandandy 2/2 Even following the protocol this should have been reduced to a yellow. James Ryan on Ludlow, now there is a red. Driving into a maul, clear shoulder on head with force. Hansen on Watson, at least a penalty, possibly yellow but certainly not try to Ireland

@nessandandy If thats your reasoning then it is impossible to tackle anyone. Ever. Watch what actually happened rather than what suits your view.

@edujones14 @nessandandy Suggest you do the same! There are several mitigating factors. 1. Keenan’s height 2. The force was from Keenan not FS 3. FS turns sideways in an attempt to avoid collision, Keenan does nothing to avoid the collision 4. The collision is with the elbow not the shoulder as stated

@niallbrowne1 @Nigelrefowens @Murray_Kinsella Means the hooker has a nice clean dry ball to throw in rather than a wet, muddy one....the fact that it means that the away team can't take a quick throw in is not drilled into Ball boys the world over...honest guv.

Rugby Law question for @Nigelrefowens & @Murray_Kinsella Is a ballboy or ballgirl an official in an International match ? If so & he/she gives a new ball to the player throwing in a line out is that ball now legal ?

@bullyinthealley Awful for both sides and agree England not clinical enough (until the last 10) but hard for either side to establish momentum with that type of refereeing
