@Erickschultz11 FWIW, I've noticed the same thing over the last few years. The level of discourse has gone from mundane to exceptional, generally speaking. Humans are still human though, and you don't have to wait long to read a really dumb take.

We may be entering an era where the public can process ideas faster than institutions can respond to them. That’s historically unusual. For most of history, governments, universities, and major media organizations had the advantage because they controlled information, expertise, and analysis. Average people simply couldn’t compete with that level of coordination or access. But AI is changing that very quickly. Now millions of people can instantly research topics, test arguments, compare perspectives, and challenge narratives together online. Social media becomes the testing ground, and AI becomes the reasoning tool. So the collective intelligence of the public starts accelerating. You can already see it happening on X. Conversations are deeper, faster, and more analytical than they were a few years ago because people are constantly using AI in the background while debating ideas. I don’t think this is “the singularity.” Humans are still driving the process. But it does feel like a kind of collective intelligence quickening where society itself starts thinking at a higher speed.

@mrjamesthoughts School already feels extremely outdated. Priorities need to change to teach kids how to survive in the new world. Too much emphasis on educational aspects they won’t need.

But on a serious note, what are we preparing our kids for? The education system is so outdated, technology is moving so fast, AI is taking over way more than anticipated, and yet our kids are still going to school to learn. I keep asking myself this. In the next 10 years, what work are kids going to be doing when even nowadays machines are made to serve food in restaurants? Sometimes it honestly feels like we’re raising kids for a world that no longer exists.

The unemployment rate is pretty much meaningless when nearly 44% of full-time workers in the U.S. do not earn enough to cover their family's basic needs.

No one needs AI to survive. That's how much they've dumbed down the population. What the population needs is uncontaminated fresh water to drink, uncontaminated sky for fresh air, uncontaminated food to eat, uninterrupted quiet time to sleep, a family to love and no government.

If people can't understand what is happening with regard to AI, don't worry, you will be faced with a reckoning one day soon. The issue isn't that AI is inherently bad- It's not. It can be used for good. The problem is sociopathic billionaires with god complexes are in charge of our country. They are shoving AI down our throats so they can become trillionaires at the expense of everyone else. AI will be the downfall of civilization at the rate it's going with these billionaires in charge

@kimmie_c_ “It’s happened before” Funny cause I don’t remember any time in modern history where the entire world shutdown for 2 weeks and some parts for months after.. You think you can just do that and everything go back to normal? The interest we pay on $39 T now exceeds GDP.

Pack a lunch, don't Doordash or eat out every day, pick up an extra shift, work some overtime... Things millennials, gen X, boomers have been doing to save money for decades but gen Z thinks are beneath them. Yes, the economy sucks right now. It's happened before. Buckle down.

@LibertyJen You people are fucking delusional. Young people are out future. What's with this disgusting animus you have for young people? You're describing no one here. No one wants a 1.6m dollar house. You're retarded. We just want to not have to work over time just to have basic shit.
