Nick Morabito will wear No. 8 with the Mets. That number was last worn by Desi Relaford in 2001 and was worn by legendary Mets catcher Gary Carter from 1985-1989.

@BrandonTierney Yes Mets fans can over hype Benge and Ewing as they have always done. Anyone remember Lastings Milledge and Alex Ochoa?? Exactly!

Here’s the thing about the Subway Series: your team wins, you get to talk shit. Sit this one out, Yankee fans. Nothing to stand on right now.

Beat on a hanging curve to a .185 hitter. Absolutely pathetic. Bednar stinks.

10 runs! What a night for the Mets offense. 2 wins in a row. No team in the history of baseball has made the playoffs after losing 12-straight games. Let's make history!

I’ll be 59 on Sunday:) For the first time ever I’m sporting a Yankee jersey as I make my way to the Bronx. The official transition from a life long Met fan to a Yankee fan is now underway. Like my friend @CGasparino once wrote “Go Woke, Go Broke!” The Mamdani Mets are too WOKE for me! See ya at the Stadium soon fans!

I wanted one thing from Luis Robert this year- Gold Glove defense. He has been anything but for the Mets

Attended last night’s Mets game in San Francisco in my newly minted Nolan McLean jersey and got to see him throw 5 perfect innings with a combo of nasty stuff and mixed command. Despite not having his best control, what stood out from the stands is what an absolute bulldog he is on the mound. This guy does not like to lose. Loved seeing Alvy go deep twice. And he just missed a third with a shot that would have left pretty much every ballpark but Oracle. Fun to witness Semien’s first Mets HR to straight center and a couple more hits from him. Despite his miscue the other night, defensively he just looks so smooth. Bo Bichette has been hitting the ball hard, spraying it all over. The Mark Vientos revenge tour continues. What struck me was his patience at the plate. Luis Robert Jr’s too. Lindor has quietly been solid getting on base a ton. Nice to see Baty with a late game double after a rough day. Only bummer was Soto leaving the game with a calf injury. Praying it’s not super serious. Much more enjoyable game than the night before, but Oracle is a beautiful ballpark that I can’t wait to visit again. Let’s keep the momentum going. #LGM #Mets

A message from Positive Tommy: As we enter this season with energy, enthusiasm & excitement. I’d just like to remind everyone to stay positive. Big things are on the horizon for the Mets. 70 degrees for the opener. A great omen for this year! 1986 2026 Just sayin…

The WBC has turned into a great event. I love it. Love Judge. Love Team USA. All in. But Judge can hit a walk-off granny down 3 and it will do nothing for his legacy. Tonight has nothing to do with how he should be or will be perceived as as New York Yankee. Baseball player? Maybe, for some. Yankee? No. Stop.
