@J_Swish24 Also not to be discounted and probably the most relevant factor are the goalies not only he has faced but the entire team. Bobrovsky, Vasilevski and Swayman and at their best. Look at the goalies he’s faces this year. Not even close.

🚨Regarding Mitchell Griddy Marner: What’s the biggest difference from this year and years prior in the playoffs? He has played against far less physical top 6 forward cores in Utah and Anaheim vs years prior (Florida, Tampa, Boston). And it’s giving him confidence to make the plays he’s making. Griddy is a world class player no doubt, but the match ups have been way more favorable and tailored to his style of game. A leopard doesn’t change its spots. He’s just been reaping the benefits of less physical hockey against Utah and Anaheim. @ilovetoronto124 Chicago’s pick 4th this year you draft Reid or Verhoef. SanJose’s pick 2nd this year you pick Stenberg and you draft Mckenna no brainer with your own pick. This team will be set and who cares about their own two picks the next two years.

@ilovetoronto124 Let’s say you trade Matthews to LA and get Byfield, Clarke and a 1st. Then trade Knies to Chicago for Frondell, top D prospect and the 4th OA this year, I do that no brainer. Other option for AM is SJ for Misa and their 1st (Stenberg)this year the rebuild is in full swing. 👍

Chayka was young and made mistakes but to allow three grown men back in the league after what they did. SHAME and the media should be ashamed of themselves.

Like I said in my article, Chayka isn’t perfect. Hell, he probably isn’t even a top 10 GM in the league. But the smear campaign against him makes me want to root for him even more. Where was this for Bowman? Cheveldayoff? Quenneville? Etc. etc.
