@Genki_JPN Re will FF overtake it in a couple of months. They updated the sales of their games, and with 2R, 3R, 4R, 5, 6, 7 biohazard and village they still sold around 20M units (more if we include RE1, 0, og 4, etc) in a year. it seems FF is struggling to attract new fans Unfortunately

Resident Evil series has crossed 200M units sold and is fast catching up to Final Fantasy as the 3rd best selling Japanese game series ever!

Exactly 4 years ago Resident Evil was at 125M and Final Fantasy was at 168M, over 40M behind. Now there is only 8M difference and on this trajectory it looks like Resident Evil will overtake Final Fantasy very soon.

2. Resident evil games are more similar in gameplay to each other than final fantasy.
3. Resident evil games tend to release much much faster.
