Played one of the weakest schedules in the country. Lost a game to a lousy BC team and came inches from getting swept and lost the series to VA.

@Firstand16_Pod The biggest problem with the NET is scoring margin. It’s better for your NET ranking to beat Miss Valley St by 40 than beating Virginia by 1. When you’re up 30 with 5 mins left, it actually matters whether you win by 38 or 22 in terms of NET, which is asinine.

The Miami OH situation has really made me start to question the NET system. NET values and rewards quality losses more than simply not losing. Miami hasn't lost a single game this year and yet is viewed as a less worthy team than Auburn who is 4-11 in Quad 1 games. In other words, NET says that it is better to win 26% of your big games, than it is not play any big games. NET says it is better to be 15-14 overall with a tough schedule than 30-0 with an easy schedule. It's a really unique debate and I'm curious where everyone else falls on this.

For Monday's outing, Richard Fitts and Kyle Harrison are the leading candidates to pitch. It'll likely depend on how the next few days go in NY. If Fitts pitches (in a multi-inning role), bet on Harrison to make that start. If not, Fitts is with the club and ready.

@carsoncantcode @GomesDaLegend Campbell didn’t necessarily get the contract due to his hot start. Although it may seen like it, the reason why he was the first of the three up was because he was willing to sign first. The deal was probably almost done before he saw a single pitch.
