JUST IN: Artemis II crew experiences issues with Microsoft Outlook on their way to the Moon, asks ground crew for assistance.
English

Artemis II crew is thousands of miles away from Earth
And they’re asking ground crew for help because they have two versions of Microsoft Outlook open and neither is working
This scene is now canon 😭

@jacob__titus The water in this basin is forbidden from leaving the basin by international treaty. If you think there is going to be issues with freshwater availability in the future, it is where you want to live.

Buy land in this basin.

@redeemed_zoomer Can I pre plan on schisming from your schism? I am sure there is some esoteric point completely not related to salvation that we disagree on?

Birthright citizenship isn’t complicated; the fringe is trying to make it sound complicated.
This isn’t hard.
1. If the concern is illegal entry, enforce the border. We already spend billions on CBP and ICE. That’s an execution issue, not a constitutional one.
2. If the concern is birth tourism fix it directly:
— Shorten B2 visa stays
— Tighten screening at entry
— Enforce visa intent rules
These are policy levers fully within government control.
You don’t rewrite the Constitution because enforcement is weak.
C’mon man!

I have known more than one ruling elder who should probably be minister but could not make it happen because they could not financially afford to do a career change as a family man in their 30s or 40s that would require a 3 year masters degree (even if they had free tuition). It's kind of a shame that there isn't a mechanism to solve this in the PCA other than "continue to work full time while neglecting your family to do 5 credit hours a semester and chip away at an internship." Most guys working full-time jobs with families are already really stretched thin and asking them to go down that path sounds like asking them to choose between the health of their family and a personal career aspiration.

@jaysonyork The worst one I’ve seen is called “the Harvest Bible Church“. I mean is this a church or a cult?

Unpopular pastoral opinion #18
The modern method of naming churches is so, so dumb
The Well
Energize Church
Water’s Edge (I’ve lived this one)
I don’t know the solution exactly, but I also know that these seem so contrived and fake

The Doxology was written by Thomas Ken in 1674 as a closing verse for his morning and evening hymns. It is one of the most sung texts in the history of Christian worship. Four lines. Every person of the Trinity. The whole created order called to praise. Theology does not get more compressed than this.

@RevivedThoughts This is one of the many advantages of being in a historic denomination. The PCUSA has a church relatively close to almost anywhere we would vacation. It is really interesting to see how other churches in our denomination work. Being a big tent denomination there’s a wide variety.

@redeemed_zoomer Can I ask what the cutoff size was to be included? Also was my church on the list … FPCP.net

I just received a list from a major conservative PCUSA pastor of the top 1,000 largest PCUSA churches and which of them are conservative (meaning, anti-abortion and no gay marraige)
Apparently 171/1000 are conservative. Extrapolating that means 17% of the 8000 PCUSA churches are conservative. This is more than I thought, I thought it was like 10%
The goal of @kingdompresbys is to find which churches those are and strengthen them so that when most of the denomination collapses, they will be the ones that are still standing.

@emilykmay @bendreyfuss I have no idea why this is controversial at all. Seems pretty basic to me.
