RustNL is incredibly excited to organize an all-day Rust event together with @tweedegolfbv and @NLnetLabs.
Join us on May 10 at OBA Oosterdok in Amsterdam for awesome talks and a chance to hang out with over 200 like-minded Rustaceans.

Last week i gave a talk on teaching Rust in our new masters program 'computer and embedded systems engineering' at the TU Delft! Check it out!

Delft meetup complete! Proud of a tremendous @rustembedded line-up, wrapped up with a great Q&A by @djco with @m_ou_se!
Thanks @Geoxion, Sjors (@jittercompany), @jdonszelmann and to everyone that joined and helped out.
Slides and (fingers crossed) recordings to follow.
@Thunder_Chicken Quarter based, and indeed, we reuse code between at least 3 courses at the moment. Course websites also cross-reference for information which is a really nice thing to be able to do (though you can't see that yet, the 2nd course website will only be online next week)
@jdonszelmann Working together is good!
Are you semester or quarter-based?
I’ve known people from quarter-based schools that had the same codebase across multiple courses.
"I hope we are allowed to use Rust for all future courses"
~Multiple students taking the university course on Rust I've been giving these past weeks which is part of our new Embedded Systems and Computer Engineering programme
@Thunder_Chicken The thing is, if you don't they have to start from scratch every time. That's how it used to be. This year we try to work together between the courses for this first time, allowing us to rely on students having already learned certain things. Thus we have time for other things
@Thunder_Chicken Yup, that's why we won't honour his request! However, these are masters students, they've seen their share of languages and will see more. However , we are trying to get their proficiency in Rust up a bit by letting it come back a few more times.
@jdonszelmann The students have always asked to learn just one language. This should never be allowed, as it generates a lot of golden-hammer advocates.
