@notjustbikes It's kind of the reality on a big part of my route, say 8 trips a week. The maybe once or twice I get caught up in that cycle it stinks (I generally just stop to let it get a good gap or go really hard for a bit). Most of the time there's simply no bus and hey it's a nice space.

@driversofnyc I would even settle for the street plows not throwing everything onto the sidewalks. Even when people try their best to clear them, it becomes a futile battle as nasty ice is piled on regularly.

@AdamMyerson I was thinking the same thing. There’s nothing more mainstream and conforming than creating a Hall of Fame to recognize achievements and pat each other on the back. I thought gravel was all about riding bikes off the grid and drinking beers after?

@TaylorWAnderson Streets are perfect while kids are walking to school on rutty ice. Nothing more American.
