So happy to finally be able to share my post-doc work! I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped/supported me during this project.
Carter Lab@Carter_Lab

Excited to share our latest work on @biorxivpreprint! We visualised single molecules of dynein and its cofactors live in the axon. Work by @AlexFellows1 in collaboration with the @sangerinstitute (Andrew Basset, Michaela Bruntraeger and Thomas Burgold) biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Had the most amazing weekend at Rydal Hall (flaviviridae.uk) talking about how cool the @oniHQ Nanoimager is!! Great weather, great company, great walks, and great science. Thank you so much to @GroveLab @MaringerLab @AzimAnsa and Upasana Sykora for organising!

Grateful to @oniHQ for the opportunity to have their super resolution imager in our lab for 3 months! Dr. Veiga (@sciencysara) entered a competition and won!🥳 Alison has been incredibly thoughtful and patient as she teaches us the ins and outs of this user-friendly system.(1/)

Take a look at our latest application note where we discussed employing single-particle tracking (SPT) using the #Nanoimager to examine the behavior of nuclear protein populations. hubs.li/Q01px7qP0 #microscopy

The first paper from our lab at @mpi_nat is online! Have a look if you’re interested in very high-resolution (20 bp!) contact matrices and the role of loop extrusion in enhancer-promoter interactions: nature.com/articles/s4146…

After his wife died cycling in Oxford, Ling's husband said he wanted to one day take his children to the Plain and say “no-one else dies here because of Mummy”. I’m glad the Minister agreed to meet with me to discuss how we keep our cyclists safe and avoid more senseless deaths.

Great to see @Amy_L_Hughes work on @biorxivpreprint! If you are interested in CpG islands and transcription regulation check this out. Amy finds an interesting new role for CpG islands and SET1 complexes in counteracting termination by ZC3H4 complexes.👇 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

As we clearly see here, Covid waves are driven 100% by seasonality. There was an admittedly short spring and summer in late February, but now we are entering winter again Scientists say we are on our 7th winter in 2 years.
