Muss elevated Arkansas’s national brand to a level it hadn’t seen in multiple decades, including the first extended tournament runs in 25 years. But it looked like he was leaving things in an unrecoverable mess with no players on the roster, coaching candidates not wanting to deal with the rebuild, and even rumored academic issues (still up in the air, hopefully nothing). If there was one person other than Muss that could build a roster from scratch in one offseason, it was Calipari. And beyond this season, Calipari takes what Muss did for the national brand and IMMEDIATELY elevates it even further. Even if Arkansas doesn’t win more under Cal than with Muss, this was a fantastic move on so many levels. They kept any remaining momentum from recent NCAAT success and gave themselves a chance to stay competitive. Right. Now. Not to mention all eyes in the country are on the HOGS! #WPS
