Warms my heart to hear Jon Hamm talk about Shoresy with such reverence on Amy Poehler’s podcast. What are you watching that’s making you laugh? It’s a show called Shoresy… Oh, I love Shoresy… That is making me laugh. And you know what else it’s making me do? Cry! Shoresy’s about this local hero, legend, he’s plays on the men’s local hockey team, and it’s kind of the point of pride for the small town they live in Northern Ontario that they live called Sudbury. Over the course of the series, they win their championships, then he becomes a coach and he tries to teach the kids. It’s a tremendous show because it highlights, most of the people in power, who are running things, are women. Many of them are First Nations, Indigenous Canadians, and it’s not made a big deal of, it just is.
