Sad news has been received of the death of Stephen McLaughlin yesterday. Stephen was a stalwart of our campaign from the very earliest days. He was a fine socialist and a gentleman. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Ultimately this comes down to a matter of intelligence. On one hand, you have people understanding this form of Tourette's and telling anyone if they were offended to grow a pair. On the other side you have the professional victims, stupidly insinuating that we should break the law. Kindly fuck off. John Davidson has more rights in the UK than Michael B Jordan. That's just facts.

Lawd, with every single update it continues to get worse, bc Wumni too!!! It's wild that John Davidson got more thank yous after the BAFTAs than the cast of Sinners got apologies. The damage is done and not enough heads have rolled.

Presumably the only justification that Nicola Sturgeons can possibly have in saying that @DarcyWAHF is lying that violent men are sharing a prison with women is because the former first minister still believes those men are women.

I was born through surrogacy. Today, as the spokesperson of the Declaration of Casablanca, I fight for its universal abolition. I am quoted in a new article analyzing the global surrogacy market and the way pregnancy is increasingly framed as a form of “reproductive labor” that can be contracted and outsourced. But pregnancy is not a service. Childbirth is not a job. And a child is not a product to be delivered. Behind the glossy marketing of the fertility industry lies a rapidly expanding global market that treats women’s bodies as resources and children as outcomes of a contract. As someone born through surrogacy, I know that the debate is not theoretical. It is about the deliberate organization of a separation at birth: a child taken from the woman who carried and gave birth to them because a contract demands it. No society that truly respects women and children should normalize such a system. Read and share the post of the Declaration of Casablanca below. @wombsnotforrent

The Declaration of Casablanca is cited in this analysis on surrogacy, parenthood & the labor of childbirth. Surrogacy turns pregnancy into contract labor and children into deliverables. Read: internationalpolicy.org/publications/p… @WombsNotForRent

@troh24 @LauraPidcock It's disgusting. I suppose she thinks flipping burgers doesn't constitute "work" either.

Very timely reminder from @HelenOConnorNHS here to reject liberal feminism. ‘Socialist women of history did not accept that prostitution constitutes “work.” They did not fall for the lie that “bodily autonomy” means capitulating to the pornographic fantasies of men or offering men unfettered access to the bodies of women, girls, children.’ Read the full article below 👇🏻

Scotland is being asked to consider a Bill that would introduce assisted suicide into our law. Many people believe it is only about helping a very small number of people at the very end of life. But the legislation goes much further than that. Under the proposals, any adult with an advanced and progressive illness or condition from which they cannot recover could be eligible. That could apply to far more people than many realise. There are also serious concerns about the impact on healthcare. The proposals would allow doctors to raise the possibility of assisted suicide even when a patient has not asked about it, raising questions about the trust at the heart of the doctor–patient relationship. At the same time, palliative care in Scotland remains underfunded and difficult to access for many people who need it. Surely our priority should be improving care and support for those facing serious illness. Every human life has dignity and worth, especially those who are most vulnerable. 📩 Ask your MSP to reject this Bill: carenotkilling.scot

🚨Hello every one , Today we received a notice that our account @WDIAfghanistan1 has been reported and temporarily locked. The reason was that we shared a video of a young girl who was bea💔ten by the Taliban. We shared this not to spread hate, but to show the truth. This page is not just a social media account. in fact It is a bridge and a voice for Afghan women inside Afghanistan — to the world. If sharing the truth leads to reports and attempts to silence us, then it raises an important question: Should telling the truth about violence against women be punished? We need your help now. Please: •Follow our page •Share our posts •Amplify the voices of Afghan women Thank you every one for your solidarity. please don't let Afghan women voice be silent 🙏🥰🍃
