I love the progress $TSLA is making on FSD. I really want to buy FSD for $8k today. I asked @elonmusk to get below $10k and he and the team delivered. TBH , I am still frozen to take such a decision today bc I am unsure of how that may play out for me/ my wife (we have two Teslas) in the future. Will we be able to transfer FSD when we buy a new Tesla? If not, how much will the next owner value it? Will FSD get discounted further in the coming days? Price increase? Will we automatically get all future upgrades (level 3,4,etc) or have to pay more for those? This may be in the T&Cs, but past pricing actions make me over think what value are we actually receiving today? Furthermore, I am a shareholder and big fan of Elon and the Tesla team. The progress on FSD is absolutely incredible; however, if I am honest with my experience, FSD (12.3.4) is optimistically 80-85% of where it needs to be for me to completely take my hands off the wheel and experience life changing value. What chance am I taking by paying $99 a month or doing nothing until this becomes clearer? Just sharing my thoughts so long as they are helpful / constructive.

@iliketeslas @wholemars Other cars change prices constantly and often by wide margins via dealer markups and manufacturer/dealer incentives. Only a fool thinks the “MSRP” is the real price. Tesla prices must change frequently in order to match production with demand.

I think that if you had a monkey throw shit at a keyboard to come up with a pricing strategy for Tesla it would be more coherent than what we’ve seen. Subscription price will go up once we release FSD. Actually we will cut it. We are raising Model Y prices. Actually now we are lowering them It’s amusing to follow, but probably confusing to consumers. Should I buy FSD now because the price was cut? Or should I wait for the next FSD price cut and save thousands of dollars?

Do higher rates increase debasement when the government pays higher interest? Does that force investors to take higher risk to overcome debasement + inflation? Doesn’t that just create higher asset inflation? Does higher asset inflation result in higher CPE inflation when owners sell assets to buy goods? What do you think the endgame is to reverse this cycle?

I agree everyone should have the right to free speech. I disagree with your take on the use of this word. While it may not be offensive to those the word is used to describe in certain circumstances (and that is not always the case), it could be offensive to those who value them and see their lives as a gift / unique, valuable contribution for which to be grateful. Just put yourself in the shoes of their siblings, parents, friends, etc. when they hear others using that word the way you suggest.

Retarded was one of my favorite words. I had a happy childhood of my classmates calling each other retards Nothing quite conveys the concept of sheer stupidity with such force as the word retard. Dumb, stupid… none of these words carry the same weight. Then one day someone decided that I can’t say retarded anymore, because it might hurt the feelings of someone who is actually mentally retarded. I didn’t protest, but it was a big loss to not be able to use this word anymore. I don’t get it. If you’re offended by the word retard then you’re probably not really retarded. I’m thinking of guys like Simple Jack. Does Simple Jack care that everyone knows he’s mentally challenged? No. Seems more about not annoying the parent than the actual person with the disability I hope one day my children, or my children’s children, can live in a world where they’re allowed to call their friend a retard in public without getting cancelled

In my neck of the woods - it’s feeling like 2008 again. As you’d expect, all the smaller contractors are getting obliterated first. Many of them haven’t had work in over a week and their staff is reaching out in desperation to find new work places. More bankruptcies to come.

I don’t think anyone, even @elonmusk, can imagine how big Tesla is truly going to be. I have a few rideshare rides on FSD Beta 12.3.1 again tonight. Not only could it do the entire drives on its own, it can already do it more smoothly and comfortably than I can. It’s already a more comfortable experience for the passenger. And this is the shitty version, with basic things like flashing red lights still not handled. Imagine when this architecture actually becomes mature. Buckle up, this year is going to be fun.

BREAKING: Tesla's FSD free trial is starting to roll out to Tesla owners in the U.S. that didn't previously purchase FSD. Within the next few weeks, over 1.7 million Tesla owners in North America will get to try FSD Beta for free for the first time via this trial.
