1500 days in crypto > my journey of losses, wins, and lessons🔽 > 2021: the beginning of my crypto journey in jan 2021, i bought crypto for the first time with real cash $10 on some now probably defunct exchange called inanomo or something like that. looking back, i realize how incredibly lucky i was to enter the market at that time. the entire year of 2021 was a euphoric bull run. the vibes were completely different from today everything was pumping 20x, 40x, 100x, and it wasn’t just low-cap memecoins. i personally witnessed: $bnb soaring from $20 to $400, $xrp from $0.03 to $1, $near from $1 to $20 not to mention the ido that were printing 100x-500x returns left and right. i started understanding the game thanks to the wax ecosystem, where i dived into nft sales and later into the p2e meta, which gave me at least a 10x return on my initial deposit. @AxieInfinity alone netted me 15x. but this was also when i learned what scams were, as the p2e and nft craze started getting out of hand. > 2022: defi, nodes, and reality check before i could even process my learnings, 2022 arrived with the rise of defi and node projects. meanwhile, $btc kept falling, but strangely, i wasn’t worried. however, i withdrew more and more from social life due to real-life events. at the peak of my productivity, from may to august 2022, i was living alone in another country, grinding non-stop. my daily routine looked like this: / wake up, go for a run (i lived near mountains) / work / sleep i was literally working 14-16 hours a day and enjoying it. this was during the p2p and arbitrage era, and i loved it. but as those opportunities dried up, i realized i needed a change. > late 2022: finding new opportunities by august 22, i discovered @QuaiNetwork and @ethsign, securing ambassador positions. fun fact: sign recently raised a new round from @BinanceLabs, and quai is launching its full-fledged mainnet and $quai trading next week. in late 2022, i received the @Aptos airdrop, made important connections, moved to another city, started running a public channel, and, funny enough, became somewhat "media-oriented." > 2023: the year of airdrops and financial pitfalls then came the @arbitrum airdrop in early 2023, which single-handedly defined my entire year. by may 2023, i hit my financial peak, dumping tons of money into retrodrop strategies. this included base-level projects like @Starknet, @zksync , @LayerZero_Core, and literally hundreds of l2/dex/perp solutions. this lasted an entire year, and the results were as follows: / time spent: 1 year / funds invested: $n / airdrop returns: 80% $n in short, i spent a full year only to end up with less than i invested. sure, part of it was due to my own mistakes, but the undeniable fact remains: a whole year wasted. > late 2023 - present: skills over speculation at that point, i shifted my focus to personal skill growth. while i had previously dabbled in various roles as an influencer and ambassador, this time, i took it seriously learning marketing, copywriting, and advisory roles for real work. a funny side note: throughout 2023, i started accumulating $btc at $25,000, and my last buy-in was at $16,100 the lowest price in five years. > 2024-2025: personal growth and new goals 24 has been all about personal development, and i continue to work in multiple web3 projects, mostly as an advisor or ambassador. one of my most notable experiences was working with @ZetaMarkets, where i managed marketing for the cis region alongside my partner @ruslan55x, coordinating over 120 cts at once. now, i’ve moved to a new city and am focusing on what truly matters building my personal brand. because when you have a strong blog and a community that believes in you, achieving anything becomes easy. thank you for reading. in part two, i’ll share the key takeaways and rules i’ve learned over these 1500 days. stay tuned.
