Thanks @jakobgreenfeld 🙏
I agree that for many courses it’s difficult to find reviews that are not a) affiliate links or b) testimonials on the course sales page.
I tried to give some honest insight in the good & the bad for 7 courses I’ve tried. 👇

@cecile_mcm 100000% to this! As I've gotten older, I've really liked traveling to fewer places, but for longer. I get more out of it when I can develop a routine, get to know a neighborhood, find my grocery store, etc.
English

@cecile_mcm This is the biggest lesson I've learned - travel has almost never helped me figure out what's next. It's a fun distraction (and sometimes those distractions are needed!), but you need to do intentional work to figure out the hard stuff (experiments, journaling, etc.)
English

@cecile_mcm I'm 9 months into my break from work and I can relate! I do think one thing I've been reflecting on is how short a year truly is, let alone 4 months.
English

@LynnRivest Esther is THE BEST. What is most impressive about her is how she can so fluidly work across so many different groups of people (straight, queer, gay, lesbian, trans, non-binary) and relationship types (mono, poly, platonic) - there's something for everyone!
English

@dannyreeves1 @Nicolascole77 I saw you on the celebration call last week and was super inspired to check out some of your writing! So glad I did. You're giving me the motivation I need to keep going!

English

@SternKara @dickiebush @Nicolascole77 I feel very similarly about Twitter might not be the right platform for me. I totally get it’s a great platform for getting attention, but I care more about writing what I want and how. I still can’t help shake the feeling that we are just contributing to the distraction economy
English

When I signed up for #Ship30for30 with @dickiebush & @nicolascole77 it was to improve at my job.
I didn't realize it would improve my life.
Here are 9 reasons it was a phenomenal investment.

English

@rudiseitz @fogchaser__ ah yes, i've thought about buying one, but can't get myself to spend another $300! But honestly, might be an interesting experiment. Could probably get one used for cheap.
English

@chrisschelzi Thank you! Honestly, your earlier essay where you reflected on some of your anxieties of being single and 40 helped inspire some of it!
English

@franziskagonder Oooooo. Amazing how just adding a fat and acid together along with some sweet makes this amazing flavor
English

@jefe_sun Could not agree more.
You know what's also great? Coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, raw honey and honey mustard... play with the balance a little.
I always put it over a apple carrot salad to make sure all the vitamin A gets unlocked :)
English

@jefe_sun Have you read "How to do the work" by Nicole Le Pera? You'd love it!
English

@jefe_sun Ted and I always say: Money is an expression of your values.
This hits hard for some people, cause they realize they've been spending money on all the wrong things for a long time :)
English

@SueDekany Ah yes, this was definitely one of those pieces I wrote at the last minute because I needed to write for the day!
English

@jefe_sun Hi Jeff, I think using formatting would help make this skim-able and highlight the takeaway.
English

@YvonneHappy @dickiebush @Nicolascole77 Very similar to you, I found a lot of people didn't make the list. It also helped me connect a bit more with what kinds of friendships make me come alive. The trick now is, how do you sunset those relationships that might no longer be serving you?
English

You have 30 days to meet 30 people.
Then they will be gone forever.
Who do you meet and why? Go. 👇
Essay 21/30 for #ship30for30 with @dickiebush and @Nicolascole77

English

@rudiseitz The anxiety is real! But I know it's possible. I've often thought about making my phone into a dumb phone - literally deleting all apps on it other than using it as a means to call and text. Everything else should be done on a computer when I'm actually concentrating on working.
English

@jefe_sun Tried going out for a walk in my neighborhood, leaving phone at home. Felt risky, like not having keys. What if someone calls, or I need to look something up? This tells me I should do it more often.
English

@ryancpacker Totally! Have you wanted to try longer? Or was 7 days your limit?
English

@jefe_sun It's amazing how much more productive you can be with less distractions! I've done a 7 day social media fast before and it was eye-opening the habits we engrain within us.
English

@jefe_sun This is a very interesting topic. Great ideas. Looking forward to trying this out. I’d love to hear how it goes for you.
English

@abel2readaloud @themikelamb Thanks for being so vulnerable, Susan! Takes a lot of courage and self-awareness to recognize everything you wrote.
English

Which do you treasure more, objects or relationships?
Two lessons I learned late. 👇

English

@LenaAndNature Def didn't mean to imply that going for a walk doesn't count - it does! I think my broader point is that many of us have lost the ability to savor, only collect. And many of our goals for experiences, however unconscious, is to collect, rather than experience.
English

@jefe_sun So true that experiences are not mean to be collected (especially if they are collected just for the sake of social media). Experiences are to be experienced! And pity if going for a walk (no carbon footprint) and really looking at nature/things around doesn't count.
