focusing on high leverage late innings is a roadmap to mastering the at-bats. you can learn to pitch a LOT in those circumstances and it will help later. I was definitely a good starter in the minors, but the setup/closer roles helped me be a much better starter in the big leagues.

It’s time the Rangers faced the inevitable… As promising as Kumar Rocker may be as a starter, his role should be bullpen closer… He can help the team much more in that role than as a starter… Plus, he has the make up, temperament, pitches and velocity to be a devastating closer
