For me one of Game of Thrones' big problems is the desire to constantly cull its ensemble cast. When the showrunners felt comfortable deviating from Martin's work it was usually to kill off characters. There's a lot of silly deaths like Stannis, Barristan, Randyll Tarly, etc.

As someone who works downtown, the comments felt like a cheap shot and criticism of our city. Do you defend your city?
