Never once have I been labeled “wokest of woke pastors.”
And anyone who knows me even the slightest knows that the string of labels you threw at me don’t stick. All it does it reveal your craven attempts to use antagonism as a means of promoting your own name.

I attended a school that in culture and heritage Christian Reformed. Though they refuse any longer to acknowledge me, I honor them for how they shaped and formed me. What the CRCNA is saying to queer folks and our allies is horrible and unconscionable

To call the perpetrator a “deranged monster” is lazy. It distances us, as if to say she was not one of us and we are not like her. Except that she was formed by this culture of death, which too many of this country’s leaders and citizens perpetuate and even celebrate.

Only a collective repudiation of our culture of death—including repenting of our obsession with guns, including acknowledging our inclination toward violence—will end this ongoing tragedy.

We need to consider an automatic death penalty for school shooters. Life in prison is not enough for the deranged monsters who go into our schools to kill innocent kids & educators. Pray for all facing the unimaginable in Nashville. This is horrible & must stop.

Blackburn belongs to a PCA church—same denom as the school where today's murders happened. Among her own congregation's stated values: "We will seek to be good neighbors in every place, inside and outside of our homes."
