@thelinedrive @SpursArmyTweets Romero was made captain. Not sure what you said is accurate
English

@SpursArmyTweets Yeah, Romero absolutely hated Frank’s guts if this is the contrast with Ange and then what has been reported after.
English

🚨🎙️ Ange Postecoglou on Cristian Romero: “I love him. He plays on the edge, he’d scare people in training, and I love the way he talks. Would you rather have Roy [Keane] in your team or against you?
“We would never have run that far without Romero. Kick-off was about to happen and he was taking our team into Manchester Unted’s half for the huddle, because our supporters were down that end.
“He’s not scared of anything. He’s a winner. I love winners.”

Thanks but it doesn’t work. It’s a romantic notion. The real issue is how the competitive nature of the dating market was reshaped by dating apps/social media. Women have access now to all the top 10% of men and men access to nearly all young women. Men date down but women, especially in this age, up. This creates a crowding out of sub top 10% of men on the “why compete if I don’t have a chance” thinking. They are not wrong. Data shows data most women apply filters (eg for height and income) which often eliminates 90% of men. A lot of men end up not competing in a competition which they believe is too costly and with too low odds. Women on the other hand keep thinking they get one of the top men. Then they turn 30 and realism sets it resulting in later stage marriages. The data is quite clear on this.
English

I hear from many young men that they find it difficult to meet young women in a public setting. In other words, the online culture has destroyed the ability to spontaneously meet strangers. As such, I thought I would share a few words that I used in my youth to meet someone that I found compelling.
I would ask: “May I meet you?” before engaging further in a conversation. I almost never got a No.
It inevitably enabled the opportunity for a further conversation. I met a lot of really interesting people this way.
I think the combination of proper grammar and politeness was the key to its effectiveness. You might give it a try.
And yes, I think it should also work for women seeking men as well as same sex interactions.
Just two cents from an older happily married guy concerned about our next generation’s happiness and population replacement rates.

@sophielouisecc Yes or they should say the game be played behind closed doors and no fans allowed. Totally unfair to ban opposing fans
English

@weRessential @NiohBerg She couldn’t look him in the eye when she said it. These people know that they are lying to themselves because they want to believe the words that they are saying. It’s a mental illness
English

@fullback03 Not worst manager ever because he delivered Europa league. That saved him and the club from embarrassment. But good on you for giving levy and the board credit
English

@LiamTalksBall @InvertTheWing But it’s not like most of these players are leaving spurs and becoming top talents that should be featuring for spurs. Madueke is one example, maybe Marcus edwards (although debatable). I can’t think of too many others who left spurs and reached an elite level after leaving.
English

@InvertTheWing Of course when we signed destiny he was loaned back so won’t count it as a ‘loan’ as such.
The hope is with Frank and the new restructure with the intro of a 1st team intergeation coach academy players get more of a chance.

@Kastorville @LizzySavetsky Because of where he was born? He never mentioned anything about politics or his stance on the war
English

But did he speak up against Genocide? Mass starvation?
Do you know why? Because as a consumer I get to choose where I want to spend my money.........it's my right.
If I feel like a company or entity doesn't share my values, I would then take my business elsewhere.
Why is this controversial? Why can't the consumer do what they want......if he wants to let consumers know he's on the side of humanity, then he should say so.
English

@mykidsasleep @LizzySavetsky Every Israeli has to serve. You are boycotting him because of where he was born
English

@SpursOfficial Thank you Levy! An awesome executive. Anyone who says otherwise is misappropriating blame
English

@ttfengine @InvertTheWing I think the reason for the reaction is that Bournemouth outclassed us and we were at home
English

@InvertTheWing The mental breakdown, the post mortems reflect so bad on our fanbase. Its no wonder we are routinely ridiculed. The very same side completely outshone Man City. Defeats happen in football but the vitriol aimed at our players from our own "fans" is just vile. Get a grip

Thoughts:
— Today wasn’t a “technical” issue like people were saying. It was more obviously a big, big physical issue. Most players were getting bullied out there, and simply couldn’t hold onto the ball for more than 5 seconds. Every duel the players were fighting for their lives.
— Kudus seemed physically off it. Palhinha seemed physically off it. Richarlison seemed physically off it. 3 of Tottenham’s most physical players were simply losing every duel/challenge. What do you expect?
— Kudus was not good. And I don’t know why people are saying otherwise, probably shiny new toy syndrome. He was just as bad as the rest of the attackers — far, far too selfish this game (contrast to previous games), lost the ball often, and when he didn’t he held onto it too long, or fired it right into the opponents.
— Brennan Johnson terrible. But I have said it many times, if the whole team plays like shit, he will play like shit. If the team is creating a lot, sustaining possession, he will feast. But he is not someone you can count on in games like this — Frank did a good job taking him off early.
— Odobert was not good either. Perhaps my statement of “need a loan” was harsh. But he gets praised for doing absolutely nothing. He has no final product, has never showed it, skied a chance most wingers would have at the very least got on target.
— Tel started off very, very poor. But went up a gear after the Djed Spence cross to first time volley. I liked how he was after he found some momentum. Needs a bigger cameo to judge, not these 10 minutes off the bench.
— Porro awful, and I know if I said anything earlier you people would say “agenda!” No. He just cannot defend and is food for any PnP winger in the league. Liability. Will always say it.
— Spence was probably one of the better players today. Not great, but serviceable, especially towards the end. Constant issue of him making very intelligent runs but players NEVER finding him. It was annoyed me most about Kudus.
— Van De Ven and Vicario deserve praise. Stopped it from being 4-0.
— Bergvall also transformed the game. His energy allowed Tottenham to actually win duels, something they found impossible otherwise. Good progressor, press resistor. Has to start.
— Disagree with the notion of “Palhinha shouldn’t start these games”. Bournemouth aren’t a team that sits back. They are very frantic. It was a good decision to start him. However, his performance wasn’t. That was the issue.
— Thomas Frank got it wrong. Completely. Probably worse than anything I’ve seen under Ange, other than maybe Crystal Palace last season. Outcoached, outpressed, completely disoriented structure, and only got back in the game when Bournemouth sat back.
— Richarlison and Bentancur, the less said the better
Overall, no true positives, other than Bergvall’s quality.

@ojleech @SCAnonYouSpurs @LastWordOnSpurs You don’t know that. Poch was giving everyone on the squad a fair look. He took the team on a preseason tour of USA. Holtby was doing well and getting minutes, but Holtby wanted a new opportunity so chose to leave
English

@jeffdl430 @SCAnonYouSpurs @LastWordOnSpurs If Kane didn’t play the last few games he might not even have been there for start of Poch’s time.
English

🚨Former Tottenham Hotspur interim manager Tim Sherwood does NOT believe Xavi Simons will be a first-team player at Spurs:
🗣️”He blocks pathways, I wanted them to sign a player that goes directly into the first-team.“
#THFC | #COYS | #TOTTENHAM | #SPURS
English

@SCAnonYouSpurs @ojleech @LastWordOnSpurs And he gave Kane an opportunity when there was nothing to play for. Poch got the best out of Kane.
Also, Sherwood said that porro was garbage
English

@ojleech @LastWordOnSpurs What did he do with the youth setup? Kane is our only success story in decades.
English

@NurdinUgass @thespursweb Find a new team to support loser. You aren’t welcome here
English

@thespursweb Don’t think I’ve hated a player this much since Sol Campbell. Hopefully someone takes over his home, takes all his land and his money because 4000 years ago it belonged to their ancestors.

@RMcEvoy128 @SpurOTM Because the player didn’t want to go to spurs. We were being used the whole time by palace to get more money from Arsenal. Eze was always going to Arsenal if they were willing to put up enough money. It took the havertz injury and spurs closing in to get it done.
English

@SpurOTM Why wouldn't Palace just tell us that and let us try and match their deal? So weird
