So I have seen many #golfers share their 2021 golf goals so I tried making some for myself. 1. Play 10 new courses 2. Meet and play with 8 new golf Twitter peeps 3. Post 12 under par rounds 4. 60% of rounds with under 30 putts 5. 60% GIR 6. Go 100 holes w/o 3-putting Am I nuts?

Well…. Today was one of those days you dream of as a golfer. Was able to my fire my lowest round ever of 68. And I missed about 5 less than 10 foot birdie putts and FOUR putted for a double bogey on a par 3. Could have been a 65 or less with a better putter. Best pure ball striking day of my life. The best part…. Was with my Dad and Father-in-law. What a day. ❤️

It seems like its time to move on from Dottie Pepper.

There are 4 possible take aways from my 2026 driving stats: 1) I need to aim right. 2) I need to play courses with less trouble to the right. 3) I need to abandon traditional stats in favor of strokes gained data. 4) I need a lesson. What would you tell me to do?

Masters Week seems like a good time to post my updated Top 5 Courses I'd like to play. US: 1) Cypress Point 2) Merion 3) Augusta National Golf Club 4) Chicago Golf Club 5) Caprock Ranch HM: Sutton Bay - need to play the top course in my home state Outside the US: 1) Royal County Down 2) The Old Course 3) Royal Dornoch 4) North Berwick 5) Muirfield What am I missing?

@MidwestGolfJake Im guessing you are probably swinging solely to focus on your #'s while indoors and can develop bad habits that way. Not having a bad lie all winter doesn't help either. This is coming from past experience....

Other than staying somewhat in golf shape, indoor golf is worthless. None of what I was doing on Trackman has translated to outside golf. I don't regret playing indoors all winter but disappointed the goodness doesn't translate. Before anyone asks, yes I'm using RCT golf balls

@MidwestGolfJake Having a board with a charter and clear direction makes the rotating board issue a little better. Unfortunately most that run for a board have a hidden agenda.

One thing I've noticed that the best run golf/country clubs have in common... they are run by a benevolent dictator. One person with a vision with everyone on staff aligned to carry out that vision. Member boards tend to have an inconsistent vision subject to the whims of the current board members. Corporate run clubs can be good but tend to prioritize profit over all else. Oh, and Golf Club > Country Club Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
