Seattle Computer Products (where tim wrote dos) is right across the street from icm.museum in the same business park. We have a gazelle on display which boots dos 1.25. Tim worked at Microsoft and extensive modifications and development were done to make dos suitable for the IBM PC launch. The image shown is fairly far removed from what dos was like prior to Microsoft purchasing it and improving it.

@NRA I guess old @NRA slogans like "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" need to be updated. For example, "Guns don't kill people, political rhetoric kills people"; or "Guns don't kill people, easily triggered border patrol agents who like to play Call of Duty kill people".

@trenthub Good question. The Supreme Court usually defers to the President's determination of "emergency", but they need to stop doing that, because the power to declare anything an emergency makes any "emergency" requirement completely useless and hands him unlimited power.

Under what legal authority can the President issue tarrifs on countries because they don’t support him on the issue of Greenland? Where is the national emergency?

I would call this man a twit if I actually thought he was this stupid. But I see this for what it is: an intentional provocation, like so much of the Trump agenda, seeking to pit Americans against one another. There was no “battle” at Wounded Knee. It was a massacre.

It’s interesting how some people can see defects like the Woke Mind Virus, Trump Derangement Syndrome, and all kinds of blindspots in other people, but can't detect any blindspots of their own. It must be nice to have a perfect understanding of the universe (or to think you do).

@virtuallyfun Ridiculous. I’m not familiar with ISP level age verification but how does that even make sense? People in the same household with wildly different ages generally use the same IP address. This is just going to drive up VPN usage (and rightly so).

Got to love .co.uk behaviour. First they take down archive.org unless you are verified at the ISP level and now the frog further boils. This is not the behviour of a free and open society.

@WeAreSinclair Sinclair misunderstands free speech principles. The way to respond to speech you disagree with is MORE speech, not less. Explain your position with words, not with censorship. When you hold a monopoly in a media market, your responsibilities must be balanced with your rights.

It’s surprising how easily free speech and our ability to choose the programs we want to watch fall victim to politics and intimidation. The FCC should revoke your license for dictating what ABC content the Seattle public may view.
