@DPJHodges That's a man who believes what he is saying to the media is in the interests of the Labour Party. Pure delusion. If he has those views then why go on national television and spout such insults and then pretend what he is saying is in the long term interest of the Party?

Nigel Farage tells @MrHarryCole that the £5m he received from Thailand-based crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne was "a reward for campaigning for Brexit for 27 years". So everyone who voted for Brexit - well done, you made Nigel very, very rich.
Harry Cole@MrHarryCole

EXC: “He who pays the piper picks the tune?” “Hang on a second. Hang on a second. I can't be bought by anybody.” Nigel Farage responds to £5m donor investigation insisting “I'm not and never have been” a crook Now claims it was “reward for campaigning for Brexit for 27 years”

@GMB Michael Gove showing this morning that just because someones political views differ from your own you can still be respectful, decent and fair. What a change from some of the other right wing commentators that you air. Refreshing.

In an ITV News exclusive, Angela Rayner has told us that she has been cleared of any wrongdoing by HMRC in relation to the purchase of her flat, when she underpaid stamp duty, which led to her resignation from government. Rayner also refused to rule out a leadership bid of her own. @itvnews UK Editor @PaulBrandITV reports.

Sir Keir Starmer faces a tense Cabinet meeting this morning, as the rebellion against his leadership grows. Despite a last-ditch attempt to rally his party yesterday, four government aides have quit, and more than 70 Labour MPs are now publicly calling for him to go. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has also demanded Sir Keir set out a timetable for his resignation. @LouisaJamesITV has the latest.

@GMB You have a Presenter who is asked what he thinks his happening behind the scenes in Downing Street. That same Presenter pretends he doesn't know even though his Wife is said to be one of those telling the PM is time is up. Nonsense.

@DPJHodges Perhaps one day you and your right wing media friends will give some air time to people like Richard Tice. This morning he was not even prepared to condemn a Reform councillor who talked about melting down Nigerians to fill potholes. Will that be front page on the Mail? I doubt it

Right, a bit confusing what Catherine West is now planning. But she does appear to be leaving open the door to moving behind a call for a timetable (which is what the majority of the PLP are moving towards) rather than an immediate challenge.

@KevinASchofield The Labour Party sends out Bridget Phillipson at a time of crisis whilst the PM appoints two decent people from the past and pleads for 10 more years. The PM should have been out there this morning. The problem is that the PM has no political instinct and that will never change.

@GMB Do those people displaying placards of our PM (married to a Jew) describing him as a "Jew harmer", think that they are being either decent , reasonable or helpful ? Those placards were thoroughly indecent and we should all call them out no matter what our politics or religion.

As the terrorism threat is raised to its highest level for nearly five years, Brits are warned that an attack is now "highly likely." It comes as police reveal the man suspected of stabbing two Jewish men in Golders Green had been referred to Prevent - that's the government's anti-extremist programme. While counter terrorism police advise this new 'severe' level threat means the general public should be 'alert but not alarmed', the Jewish community says it's still living in fear. Faye Barker reports.

@GMB Nadine Dorries - an MP who went AWOL for 12 months whilst still drawing her nice salary- now being allowed to be a mouthpiece telling us how we should run our lives.More like GB News everyday.

One of the victims of the Golders Green attack - who was stabbed in the chest as he left his local synagogue - has told ITV News he believes the government is to blame for the rise in antisemitic violence. Shilome Rand was one of two Jewish men who were knifed within minutes of each other in what police are calling a terrorist incident. The Prime Minister has called the latest in a series of anti-Jewish attacks "utterly appalling". But the Chief Rabbi says “words of condemnation are no longer sufficient” and Jewish groups are organising a rally outside Downing Street tonight to call on the government to treat anti-semitism as a "national emergency" Faye Barker reports.

@GMB Those blaming the Government for someone running down a street stabbing Jews at random are like Nadine Dorries ,political opportunists or alternatively people looking for an easy scapegoat Delusion.

@KevinASchofield A debate that achieved absolutely nothing. Frankly these politicians have no idea how to fill parliamentary time until they have a massive issue and then they proceed to talk it out and again achieve nothing.

@RobTannerLCFC The word "attendance" denotes presence at a specific location.. Apparently I , as a season ticket holder was present at the Kingpower last night even though I was sitting in my front room. Absolute nonsense and as you say should not be allowed to happen. The stuff of fantasy!

Official attendance tonight 28,729 🤔 Something has to be done about this because these figures will be taken as given in the public record when they are, quite clearly, false.

@KevinASchofield As all good lawyers do the PM came prepared knowing he was in for a fight and it showed.Tomorrow at the Select Committee we may find out whether this was a " borderline" vetting case or one where warning signs were flashing brightly. Was Robbins judged by many too generously?

@JacobsBen The Chairman has no connect with the fans, the players have no connect with the fans and very sadly the Club has no connect with the City of Leicester.Time to clear out or clear off starting at the very Top.

Following Leicester City’s relegation to League One, Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha has issued the following open letter to #LCFC fans: 🗣️ “Relegation to League One is now confirmed. As Chairman, that responsibility sits with me. There are no excuses. “We have experienced the highest highs and now the lowest lows, and the pain is shared by all of us. I am truly sorry for the disappointment we have caused. I understand the strength of feeling among our supporters, and we do not take your support for granted, especially at moments like this. “Our focus now is on what comes next. We will take the necessary decisions to move the Club forward, working together to rebuild, improve, and restore the standards expected of Leicester City. Our objective is clear – to respond strongly and compete to move this Club forward again. “We will face this head-on. We will keep going.”

@GMB Robbins justified his decision not to accept the vetting decision on the grounds he was told it was" borderline" and could be managed. Documents and other evidence suggest it was not borderline and yet many prefer the evidence of Robbins.I wonder why?

@ibsiiva75016 @jonsopel Robbins justified his decision not to accept the vetting recommendation on the basis that the decision was " borderline". He says he was told so. Other evidence including documents do not support that assertion. Why should someone say it was supposedly borderline when it was not?

@jeffsmith78162 @jonsopel If you actually listened to what he was saying which you clearly didn’t - you’d realise that nothing was “overruled”. The UKSV denied him clearance but the Foreign Office said that they could mitigate risk. So our PM sacked a perfectly good civil servant to save his own skin.

I have listened to Sir Olly Robbins evidence for last hour and forty minutes and am seeing the very best of the civil service. I am left incredulous that the decision was made to fire him. Has there been a more egregious and shameful decision by a political master desperate to save his own skin?
