20 years ago this week as a player, Gerry McNamara led Syracuse to four wins in four days at the Big East Tournament at MSG. Tonight as a head coach, he led Siena to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2010. Guy is a WINNER. CHAMPIONS OF THE MAAC!

Gerry McNamara is a Syracuse legend. Now he becomes a legend at Siena as well after taking the Saints back to the NCAA tourney in just his second season. Siena hasn't been in 16 years after Fran McCaffery took the program three consecutive seasons.

People who don’t want him in orange again really don’t know ball… Siena had FOUR wins 2 years ago…now have 22 & cusp of NCAA berth. Guy can coach by building program of accountability & has WON at Cuse as a player & coach. Anyone who watched Siena this year can see that..
