Exactly why we need open-source AI robotics to level the playing field and fight the natural tendencies of monopolies.

@stijnhommes you still need one device to store your password manager vault. With passkeys you still need that one device but get better UX

@jefreybulla Thanks to password managers I can't forget my passwords and I can log into anything I want without any device or OS dependencies. Passkeys can't improve on the password UX.

Ditch the passwords!
Passkeys bring a noticeable improvement in Internet UX. I can create a passkey on an iPhone and use it to log in on a Windows or Android device. No password manager is needed.

@QwQiao Ethereum L2s are pretty much centralized wich creates several risk vectors.
Therefore the decision is between: a) centralized infrastructure that the app team doesn’t control and b) centralized infrastructure that the team controls. Some will think b) makes more sense.

@muneeb Devs became excited about blockchains because the financial incentives were strong (token appreciation). However, experiments have shown that many token models are not sustainable.
Perhaps Blockstack was too early. Perhaps we needed those failures to realize what is right

App developer platforms without smart contracts (like web5 initiative, original Blockstack, DIDs in general) are a strict subset of smart contract platforms.
Everything you can build with web5 you can also build with Ethereum, Avalanche, Stacks but not vice versa.
