As per usual WHEN Daybreak Demo 2 drops I’m going to be personally looking out for as much criticism of the levels as possible to take note of

Have you ever noticed most fun gameplay goes up or horizontal, but rarely down?
You can jump, climb, fly, float, swing etc up
But anything that goes down merely gets in the way of falling

Critcism is important but when it’s to the point that the average Sonic fan is expected to have only negative things to say about most Sonic games, it creates a community that doesn’t feel welcoming.
It pushes the “Sonic fans don’t like their own games” narrative

I always criticise Shadow Generations for its gameplay but in terms of polish? It is unmatched by FAR by any 3D Sonic game

During frontiers hype train, I got fixated on thinking the last island would be eggman land open world...🥲

Nothing is stopping you from just taking ur time solo with missions. You can always take mods off or just mod in a way that less nuke room oriented.
I’ve been doing it for weeks and have been enjoying the game way more.

Haven’t played Mario so Sonic and I see it being a main stay with its only weakness really being the number of tracks compared to something like MK8
The gadget system adds SO much replay value when you actually interact with it outside of just “making the best build”
