@HandtevyMD Why gentamicin for peds? Standard peds sepsis coverage is ceftriaxone. Add vancomycin if critically ill. Also, ceftriaxone isn’t recommended under 1 mo due to jaundice risk. Ceftriaxone dosing should have a max listed (some kids are adult size). Epi dosing should be weight based.

@988Lifeline @TrevorProject 1 in 8 gender diverse youth who screened positive for suicide risk came to the emergency department for a non-mental health reason. This highlights the importance of universal suicide risk screening regardless of the reason for visit.

Resources such as the @988Lifeline and the @TrevorProject are available to help gender diverse youth who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
