@AshcanPress I know this is not the point of your post but I brought some books to CGC at the con last weekend! Giant-Size X-Men #1 was one of them! 😄 Can't wait to see what grade it gets.

Decided a little while ago to start getting some books CGC'd. Got my first slab back today. I was hoping for a higher grade but I'm still pretty pleased.

It's this movie. On Prime. She's the most useless person I've ever seen. He's 28 playing a 19 yo. It's so terrible I watched until the end 😆

Watching a cheesy movie where the hot young neighbour gifts Jennifer Lopez a first edition of her favourite book...The Iliad. A first edition. Of The Iliad. He found it in a garage sale.

In South Carolina. Walked past a lady in a shirt that said “sorry my sense of humor hurts your liberal feelings.” I giggled to myself. Her: what? Me: oh your shirt is funny Her: stop laughing Me: I’m sorry…did my sense of humor hurt— And then she walked away 😅🤣

Btw, remember that little thing last fall where I collapsed and didn’t get back up, was in a wheelchair for like 9 months while I regained the feeling in my legs and relearned how to stand and walk? Guess who is upright and has the all-clear to drive again?

i dont think this is true? the term "man cave" first appeared in print in 1992 and has always referred to "hyper masculine" spaces off-limits to women. they were dedicated to sports, gaming, and beer. reading was coded as being for effete weak nerds
Anthony Bradley@drantbradley

There was a time in American history when this was the goal of a “Man Cave” for middle-class men. Living like the aristocracy was a goal. Today, it’s TVs, gaming, not books. (Blah, blah, I know, “Well, not for me and I read on a tablet”…Ok, congrats. No need to reply).

@dogriguez I agree, but I can't imagine the pressure young pop stars have on them about every aspect of their lives. We don't need to know their political opinions unless they want to offer them.

Wonderful pic of the great John Cassaday, who passed away this week, at the Marvel Christmas Party in New York 20 years back with our pal - Marvel legend @jengrunwald - and I. Good times!

@truthordeath13 a lot of people hate the original Ennis stuff, but I think Ewing's revisiting of the character really invested Cosmo Dickhands with a lot of pathos

there are three kinds of people who read superhero comics, and normal people only know about the first two: 1. the guy who just likes superhero stories, thinks the genre is fun, & 2. the guy who just likes reading stuff he read as a kid, finds the genre nostalgic. But the third--
