Two great events so far on this Saturday. First, was a @airallianceHOU bike ride event in Fifth Ward and Denver Harbor. This bike ride is held in various parts of the city twice a year. Air sampling was conducted and we made stops at the Evergreen Negro Cemetery, Japhet Creek Park, Kress St., and more. We rode a little over 4 miles on this ride.

I have lived in #NearNorthside for over a decade, about 1 mile from this concrete plant. There are 4 others like it, plus recyclers, trains, and all major freeways. Every single 1 makes a difference to air quality for me and my neighbors. Join me as we demand reduced emissions.

@LungAssociation Houston is: 👉7th most polluted city for Ozone. 👉8th most polluted city for annual Particulate Matter. Much worse than last year. In 2024, we were: 📉10th most polluted for Ozone. 📊16th most polluted city for annual PM. All BEFORE the EPA rollbacks begin.
