I did my part to hold systems and individuals to account through my grievance. I saw up close how it is stacked against public servants like me. I had to explain what anti Black racism is to a decision maker who has never had to endure the barriers that I had to endure. And then had to be told that they didn’t think what I experienced met the threshold of discrimination

There’s no equivalent of an “unfair labor practice strike” in Canadian labor law. In Canada, only unionized workers can lawfully strike & only when in a legal strike position (which is a very narrow window to time). An employer’s illegal acts are irrelevant to this analysis.
