May be an unpopular opinion but unless there is really good service, I no longer tip at all. Tipping culture is out of control in this country. Everyone and their mom are asking for tips now. When I was waiting tables and bartending, the standard by and large was 10% or at least a couple bucks. Now people expect 20-30%. Used to be, your tip a waiter, a door man, and delivery guy but now gas stations have tip jars, you get the option on the credit card machine to leave tips at fast food restaurants and the drive thru. Hell, self service airport kiosks have a tipping option. I’m done with it

For my own personal interests, I’m all for capping rates at 10% but what lizzy here isn’t saying is that by doing so, millions of Americans will then find their credit cards locked and any applications to get new ones rejected as credit cards companies won’t accept the risk of default from those without a strong established credit history

Capping credit card interest rates would save families $100 billion a year. Keeping rates high helps pay the salaries and bonuses of credit card company executives. By not capping credit card rates, Trump is choosing corporate CEOs over the American people.

I fully support this move from @SenBooker. However, it must come in tandem with major federal spending cuts. A major tax cut for the working class simply cannot be paid for by jacking up taxes on the wealthy as we’ll then have the same problem Europe has, jobs and high earning taxpayers leaving the country. The major problem here isn’t tax revenue, either from the working class, the wealthy or corporations, it’s the spending orchestrated by Washington who seem to behave as if our money is something to play with. Get it under control.
