Today is Good Friday. We remember the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. After being arrested the night before, Jesus was beaten, flogged, crowned with thorns and sentenced to death by Pontius Pilate. He carried His cross through Jerusalem and was nailed to it. Darkness covered the land from noon to 3pm. At 3pm He said: “It is finished.” And He died. (John 19:30) He was taken down from the cross and buried in a tomb before sundown. A large stone was rolled across the entrance and guards were posted outside in fear that His disciples might steal the body and claim He had risen from the dead. No greater love has ever been shown.

Jesus is King and Lord of all whether you believe it or not… every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess.. The Bible is clear…. “Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” Luke9:26

Heavenly Father, please bring healing, comfort, and strength to all who are suffering. Ease their pain, restore their health, and surround them with peace and hope. Bless the doctors and caregivers with wisdom and compassion. In Your mercy, grant recovery and renewed strength. Amen.

If you’re a Roman Catholic & you support Jaden Ivey being fired because he called your religion false, shame on you. If you’re a member of the LGBTQ community & you support Jaden Ivey being fired because he doesn’t support Pride or gay marriage, shame on you. If you’re a sports media member & you say Jaden Ivey is mentally ill, shame on you. Jaden Ivey was fired for simply holding to historical, foundational, Biblical Christian beliefs. No one should be fired for that in the NBA or any other sports league. If you support Ivey’s firing, the problem is actually with you, not him.

Listen to him.” Mark 9:7   Jesus reminds us as His Followers “—If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!” Matthew 10:25   The world calls us crazy, but God calls us Sons and Daughters.
