🇸🇩 Third Senior RSF Commander Defects in 2026 as Cracks Show in UAE’s Genocidal Militia Brigadier Ali Rizqallah — known as Savanah — announced his defection from Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces on Monday, the fourth senior RSF commander to switch sides since late 2024, The National reported. Other defectors include: 🔹 Abuagla Keikal — Former military intelligence officer and top RSF commander in El Gezira state, defected October 2024 in the first high-profile break since the war began. The RSF alleged he switched sides as part of a “deal.” He went on to play a pivotal role in the army’s recapture of central Sudan and Khartoum. This month, his family home was struck by a drone blamed on the RSF, killing at least 17 relatives. He was not home at the time. 🔹 Major General Al-Nour Ahmed Adam (Al-Qubba) — A founding member of the RSF and one of its highest-ranking field commanders, who controlled Kutum locality in North Darfur and led the siege of El Fasher. Defected April 2026 after being passed over for military governor of North Darfur. He also cited discrimination against his forces and lack of logistical support. Arrived in Dongola on April 19 with hundreds of fighters and military vehicles. Army chief Burhan personally welcomed him. Hemedti stripped him of his rank and sentenced him to death in absentia. After his defection, RSF forces conducted mass arrests in his home area, triggering civilian displacement. 🔹 Khala Abdullah Shagab — Ranked fifth in the RSF hierarchy, defected in April 2026 shortly after Al-Qubba, surrendering with troops and equipment. 🔹 Brigadier Ali Rizqallah (Savanah) — A key recruiter in East Darfur, defected May 11 after facing severe logistical shortages in his unit. Evaded multiple RSF checkpoints by convincing superiors he was heading to front lines in Kordofan before diverting to Khartoum. His video announcement was filmed by military intelligence operatives. “We are not warmongers. We are for peace, stability and education,” he said. Defections in RSF’s ranks have been driven by leadership disputes, resource shortages, and tribal tensions.
