I dont understand the ref should have let the sequence play out complaint. Refs always stop the sequence in SV when a takedown is awarded.

@bigZeasy But that is why that complaint doesnt make sense because it was a takedown and the mat ref awarded it as such and therefore stopped the match to declare PJ the winner.

The ref didn't stop the match because of the brick toss, he stopped the match because he awarded a TD in SV.

@JP1582 @BuckWhisperer_1 This, I dont understand why everyone is saying let the sequence play through, it was in SV. That is not how that works.

@BuckWhisperer_1 The Ref made the correct call based on calling that position a takedown. It’s SV the rule is action stops if the takedown doesn’t go straight to near fall

PJ Duke lost because of the referee stopping the match mid move literally, PJ would’ve adjusted and got the TD

What are they upset about, @rockreax?! Are you kidding me? The ref called it a takedown and didn't let Duke finish the sequence (having a cradle locked up). The refs then call off the takedown?

@bmeredith001 @wrestle_2020 I used to be 100% team folkstyle but have started to lean freestyle. Too much stalling in folkstyle and too many TB matches. I love folkstyle scrambling but we need more offense.

Truly, if you’ve watched these conference championships and still think freestyle is better than folkstyle, then. . . Idk, you’re nuts ha (especially now with 3 point takedowns)

@wolfpackral @InfaWrest In my opinion reaction time should be bang bang, milliseconds, not the 1 , 2 or even 3 seconds we often see given.

@wolfpackral @InfaWrest The problem is nobody can actually say that this is or is not a TD by our current rule set because reaction time is a judgment call, totally up to ref discretion. The main qualifier for a TD is control and I'd say he had control with time left.

I turn on 125 lb wrestling to put my babies to sleep.

College wrestling has a stalling problem. I am sick of every 3rd match going to rideouts. I said if we go to a 3 point takedown then we better call stalling but we dont. 50% of matches also end with one guy running for the last minute and winning 4-2.

@jimbuesgens Yep, I am not interested in 125lbs matches none of the top guys let it rip.

How has 125 become the new heavyweight? Almost unwatchable. Every good match decided by ride out.

Well Ohio State vs Penn State was kind of a dud match. Nothing too exciting in first two matches and the other matches starters didn't wrestle.

AJ Ferrari isn't very fun to watch at Hwy. I feel like he attacked more at 197.

Turns out if you try to win every match 4-2 or in TB our going to lose some.
