I love Hugh Fraser's portrayal of Hastings in the Poirot series. But his readings of the Agatha Christie audiobooks are so brilliant and comforting. He gets them just right.

@greghocking I agree with @greghocking, there are successful theatres operating without govt or philanthropic funding. Subsidized co’s have budgets *based* on the fact. But rethinking our 50yo funding policies would be worthwhile.

Sorry but this is nonsense.I’ve run unsubsidised theatres for 40years.And made a good living.There is a lot of wastefulness in the subsidised sector.

@wabzqem @russell Would this coordinate with a state based QR code check in app like Service Vic? Fast flowing queues at events is a big issue, so verifying the patron has both checked in and is vaccinated on one screen is essential.

Instead of posting a photo of my face and a mockup, here's a real working app that: - Logs into myGov - Downloads vaccination data - Prints official PDF with unforgeable QR code on it - Is verified using one of the EU apps (!) - Works nationally Can we have something similar?

I just read that people are “dusting off” their covid plans. Obviously a redundant reference; how many plans are printed out now? I suggest we refer to “trying to remember which folder I saved this damn document in on the computer.” Just rolls off the tongue.

Or alternatively, “which of the seven documents marked ‘FINAL’ is actually the last version”.

Just to clarify: we want to return to crowds in a safe way. We want to go to Boxing Day test and the AO. Caulfield Racecourse holds 45k, restrictions for the Cup allow for 1k, or 2.2% capacity. And it’s outdoors. Isn’t this a safe step forward?
