what is interesting about ranked music lists is that we will get older, we'll all eventually die, decades and decades will go by, and the canon will inevitably change. you know there are some ghosts who lament the lack of Glenn Miller and His Orchestra on the apple list

As a former NYT staffer, I'm embarrassed by a post like this — and that @nytimes management would tolerate it. The press owes no fealty to protesters (or anyone). But it's also true that no one — including protesters — owes fealty, or courtesy, or attention to the press. smh
