@dylanviner Got feedback recently that a name we proposed reminded a client of "placenta"

A client just gave us feedback than a proposed new name for their brand reminded them of ‘anus.’ And honestly, I couldn’t love them more for helping create the “dirty mind test” which we now apply to every idea.

Looking for examples of fictional women characters (movies, tv, books, whatever) whose excellence & success stems in part from their organizational and planning skills [Forget the part of the plot where the right man "loosens them up" a la The Wedding Planner, I don't care]

@LucindaGos @zoescaman If you try, I'd DEFINITELY try the Stride. I was given one of the OG ones and found it impossible to get a good letdown or output from it, because the Spectra is just so much more powerful. If you want the convenience, try the portable Spectra or the Stride, don't do the OG Elvie

@zoescaman Word on the street is the Elvie Stride. You get the power of hospital grade but still hands-free.

@zoescaman In the form of whatsapps with my close group of mum friends... yes! But didn't find it with a broader audience

Current birth bag includes: - A Monday book of crosswords - An iPad with @boburnham’s INSIDE downloaded, ready to play on repeat - This cute little dumpling light (because we’ve been calling it bao). I’m not sure if this is chaotic or excellent. Maybe both?

Absolutely hate it when brands take a process that is expensive for a reason (Iike naming, which requires extensive trademark, legal, and multi-language checks - remember the Chevy Nova) and try to shortcut it by “crowdsourcing” it: foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/jeep…

@JenBonhomme @rachelmercer @strategyrant As someone who does a lot of naming, for a lot of different brands and types of product, there's really no easy out. So many considerations and without care and attention, you're unlikely to get lucky. Bet you a lot of money that none of the execs like any of the options!

@jenxrobbins @shea_coburn @annehelen Yeah… I was also a bit surprised by this take. I follow her, think she’s actually quite smart and aware, and didn’t think her comments were about not liking the vibe because there were unhoused people. She was more shocked and upset that the City seemed in a bad way.

@shea_coburn @annehelen Same. I got that she was down on the boarded up buildings and empty streets not being what she expected.

Can't stop thinking about the influencer who was just in Portland for a wedding and had planned to stay for the weekend but "the vibe was not for us" and flew down to a resort in LA & is mad that people are mad at her

Do you have a "user manual" for yourself? It's a guide for your colleagues on how to work with you. It can include: • how to reach you in case of emergency • your preferred communication channels • your work philosophy • how you like to give/receive feedback What else?

@lucavergano I didn’t pose one. Am interested in motivations to buy, the user journey, and resources for further study.

@tassthegreek This was one of my first observations when I moved here. And also that a lot of municipal design didn’t seem to take into account needs of different people or kinds of users. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The NYC Subway had the worst, most confusing, signage of any metro system in the world. It’s deranged. Even on the train it’s hard to see where the fuck you are and where the fuck you’re going. Tourists must get on the wrong train the whole fucking time. Call me a liar.
