I'm just going to say it. America was stunned for weeks after the killing of George Floyd in police custody. We did nothing other than recognize the moment. Today, America would not give us ONE day to mourn the death of Hersh Goldberg-Polin who was executed by a terror organization with a bullet to the head after 11 months in captivity. Instead America took to the streets to celebrate his executioners, Hamas, who they emboldened for the last year. The blood is on their hands, in fact. To my neighbors and friends, something is rotten in the state of Denmark. And it's your problem. It's not my problem any more because my eyes are open and my conscience clear. It's time you started to feel uncomfortable. It's time to say the thing you're not supposed to say. What's the worst that could happen? I guarantee that standing by will provide more dire consequences. This is a famous photograph from Ukraine in 1942 during the Holocaust. This is a Nazi member of the Einsatzgruppen murdering a Jewish mother and child at close range. A few days ago, Hamas executioners used the same method to kill American civilian Hersh and five Israelis for the simple crime of being Jewish. Never again is now. Will you speak for us, or stay on the side of evil?

This. This. THIS. The idea, so often promoted by "post-colonial" studies and the far-left in general, that 21st century Israel is some sort of White European coloniser nation, is a hideous, grotesque falsehood.

A heartbreaking video from October 7. As Hamas shot at them, Israeli police ran to save two young children trapped in a car. Their mother was dead in the front seat. The 5-year-old, fearful it is terrorists approaching, begs for her life. When she realizes they are Israeli, she tells them she is with her baby sister.

I'm reposting this not to shame these people, although I think they deserve the shame, but to illustrate two things: 1. They were taking down a poster for a vigil. That's it. A vigil to honor the missing/dead. 2. Either they don't know why they took it down or they are unwilling to say. Also, the fact that they're eating bagels is, objectively, hilarious.

one very gaslight-y thing about working in the US is that a mass shooting happens and you are expected to sort of just go on with your workday. in other places there'd be a national crisis with a period of mourning. not here. get to work.
