@mike_petriello I wonder if Soto ends up at 1B himself. Seems like a reasonable way to resolve some of the "too many corner OF" issues the Yankees had and get Judge out of CF, although I guess it could limit Soto's value. Seems like it worked with Harper, though?

I know the entire NYY offseason is going to be about SOTO?! & nothing else, understandably. But also, they had their weakest 1B offense since 1941 (points if you can guess their regular 1B that year; you can't). Filling that hole is interesting too. fangraphs.com/leaders/major-…

@DSzymborski trying to understand the game-by-game ZiPS odds for the NLCS, does ZiPS just not know about Senga's limited availability and Manaea's 2024 adjustments? Favoring the Dodgers in a bullpen game, but (slightly) the Mets in Senga vs Flaherty makes no sense to me.

And going to Weaver proves to be the right move. They have an off day tomorrow. It’s Game 2 of the ALCS not May 28th when you need to manage a season-long workload. You have to go with your best if the opponent is within four runs in a playoff game.
