@ElJoputismoDC @skylermzx Give me one example of a graphics library that looks & works the exact same across all 4 major platforms, Windows, Linux and MacOS, and the Web. One. Steam with CEF provides consistent UX across all OSes and the browser. But, feel free to debate me.

@yadavji_codes 1. Internal AOSP file manager, mainly used for choosing a file in some apps (usually you aren't even supposed to see the icon) 2. Google Files app, used in Pixel phones but can be installed on any device

@freedomschamp @unixterminal Less than 1/10th of a second, you wouldn't even have moved your fingers off of Win+R to the actual keys to type the command in.

People making fun of the new Run dialog achieving 94ms, a 10% improvement over the legacy Run dialog, are the same people who would ==screaming== if the new Run dialog took 10% longer. You can't make these people happy. Ignore them.

@RonanACNH I unironically like that more than the full on gesture navigation. Sadly nowadays it's only in some custom ROMs

This shouldn’t be possible. Steam just got a full modding framework… Without modifying Steam. Millennium lets you: • Rebuild the UI with CSS + JS • Inject features directly into the client • Hook into requests and behavior • Run plugins like a mini OS Under the hood: • React + TypeScript frontend inside Steam • Lua backend running in usermode • Hooks into Steam’s web layer, not core files Works on: • Windows (10+) • Linux (x86/x64 distros) Install: • Download the official installer (Windows) • Or run the one-line script (Linux) • Launch Steam normally No bans. No hacks. Steam isn’t locked anymore. Would you try this?

🚨 BREAKING: Google just quietly ended open Android as we know it. Starting September 2026, every Android app developer must register their real identity with Google, sign a contract, pay a fee, and submit government ID. No registration. No app. This covers Play Store apps, third-party stores, and sideloaded APKs. There is no workaround. The rollout starts in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand before expanding globally in 2027. Google calls it Android Developer Verification. The stated reason is malware. Sideloaded apps are reportedly 50x more likely to carry malicious software than Play Store apps. What developers have to do: → Register in Google’s verification system → Submit legal name, address, phone number, and government ID → Pay a one-time $25 fee Apps from unverified developers get blocked entirely or buried under warnings severe enough to kill installs. Android built its dominance on openness. That era is ending. The walled garden just got a fence.

@GyaruGlow Except that you'll be able to enable the advanced flow and sideload any app you want. The original tweet conveniently omits this info though

> Google will put more restrictions on sideloading on certified Android phones starting September 2026 in (Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand) > Devs will have to verify their real identity with Google just to sideload (not even in the Play Store) Eventually it’s probably gonna come to the whole world Soon your phone won’t belong to you anymore They’ll decide what can and cannot be on it This is just the beginning Crazy times we live in
