Peak British horse racing. BHA put a £40,000 race on just for Constitution Hill on the flat. He’s fallen on the wrong side of the ballot and now relies on others not declaring to get in. Can’t see many trainers not running in a £40k race. You couldn’t make it up 😂

@racingblogger @RacingPost Someone needs to do the right thing and not declare. It’s a pointless race and bad for the course if he doesn’t run. Horse race owners need race tracks which means looking after them in situations such as these

@cheltenhamchap The issue is your first statement, for trainers struggling to make ends meet with poor prize money is it fair to put on a 40k effectively for 1 horse to get a run before chelt ? Why doesn’t it just have a race course gallop like any other horse would have to do ?

I know one horse can’t really be seen to be getting preferential treatment And the prize fund being put on might be a tad much But Constitution Hill should be running Friday. The race has that prize fund because he is running. He has generated the publicity.

@bowen9123 They can name their price … personally hope he doesn’t get to run ! As you shouldn’t put on a horse race solely to let a hype horse get a run in . Why can’t they find the extra money for these races where prize money isn’t very good ?

I don't think Constitution Hill is gonna get the run without a bit of bribery. Gonna have to pay some no hopers not to run.

@racingblogger Not even running atm , if you were a trainer that had one running why would you take it out with a 40k prize pot ? If he gets in then they’ll be alot of questions asked about brown envelopes etc . Personally think it’s wrong to do this , put on a race for 1 horse

@DPD_UK_Support paid for a Saturday premium delivery and the driver didn’t even bother to attempt delivery even though there were also a specified date place since Fri . Delivery slot moved from 1-2pm to 5-7pm and within mins it was scanned as delivery attempted
