Now that the draft is over, catching up on some of the recent finds for my son and I as we collect cards of those born in Western New York who played professionally in the four major sports. I think I might write about this search/experience, which has been a lot of fun for us.

Some fans are going to have eggs on their faces if the Bills make a deep playoff run this upcoming season. I have no clue how things will workout but Beane is getting lit up this offseason. If they stink, it’ll be deserved BUT if they take next step, many will have been wrong.

Upon further reflection maybe I was too harsh last night. I just don’t believe the Bills did enough to be a Super Bowl contender this off season with the best QB in the world who just turned 30…Still time but a bunch of day 3 guys and Shaq Thompson/Brandin Cooks isn’t cutting it

Skyler Bell was mocked to Buffalo in high round 3 very often. Now he's sitting there to be had at 101. I hope this is the final straw for any Beane defenders when he passes for a safety.

Went to a sports bar today to watch the tournament. We'd been there before, good food, good beer. Walked in and they had zero tournament games on. "Working on it." After one beer they still had zero games on. Mostly baseball and football re-runs on the TVs...a few TVs with a tournament app on, but "free trial expired.". Obviously, we left. I still don't actually understand any of it. How do you own a "sports bar" and not plan on having all the games on all day on one of the most important sports days of the year?

Sure… Vegas is “dead.” Meanwhile, inside the Bellagio Conservatory — packed every day. Here’s the reality people don’t want to admit: Vegas didn’t die… it filtered. Post-Covid, they let anyone in just to survive. Cheap rooms, chaos, TikTok fights, people crying about $20 water in the desert. Now? That era’s over. Prices went up. Vibe cleaned up. And the people who can actually afford to be here showed back up. If you think Vegas is dead… you’re probably just not the target customer anymore. And judging by the crowds — they’re perfectly fine with that.
