I found out my long time friend and on again off again housemate Wayne Ritz passed away last week. He was sarcastic, funny, and long time active in social justice causes. I hadn't seen him in a few years but the world is definitely a little emptier without him.

Today I'm building a bed instead of my standard "boxspring with a mattress on top". Proper headboards, high quality mattress, and everything. Seems like somewhat of a milestone

When you take the same bus for years on end, you start to know the individual drivers who work the route. One driver, a middle aged white lady, is always super chatty with everyone who gets on. It kinda lights up my day on ye ol 45 bus.
