Air traffic controllers aren’t getting paid.   Federal employees aren’t getting paid.   Practically the only people in our government who ARE getting paid are members of Congress.   That's why I brought two bills to the Senate floor to stop paying Congress during shutdowns.

Update: I filed my petitions yesterday. I’m on the ballot. This last week was the longest week of my life. I was awake the 40 some hours before filing making sure everything was good to go. No one told me filing petitions is a big deal… I went down in a hoodie, ball cap, and slides.

When John Fetterman got voted into office, he couldn't form a cogent sentence because he'd been damaged by a stroke and hadn't recovered... I find it fascinating that this same person is now one of the most sensible democrats in the Senate, bar none. Things don't always turn out how you expect them to. 🤷🏻‍♂️
