The main reason I was able to accelerate my learning curve at a young age is the VA I would order EVERYTHING for these patients and Uncle Sam would pay without asking. No traditional insurance at the VA Full testosterone panels, Apo B, Lp(a), all the indicated cancer screenings + more. Then would refer to endocrine clinic where I spent a lot of my residency Everyone above ~35 BMI got GLP-1s. 100s of lbs lost The VA only scheduled 2 patients an hour so I could go deep deep with them on health optimization. And I could schedule monthly follow ups with no restrictions By end of residency I reviewed 100x more labs than anyone else It was a 25,000k a year concierge anti aging experience for free lol. They got pampered and I got accelerated learning
