Major League Baseball is aired in the morning for Japan. So technically they eat breakfast with it being on television.
Here’s their #openingday commercial. No hyperbole, when I say this, it might be greater than any US MLB commercial I’ve seen. Well done and worth the watch for any baseball fan.

@AstroBackyard Not making this up: Rosette is the official Oklahoma state astronomical object!

The Rosette Nebula 📷
My latest picture from the backyard is the dynamic Rosette Nebula in Monoceros. A stunning emission nebula that spans 130 light-years across.
The Rosette Nebula is the official astrophotography target of February! Okay, I made that up, but it is a great target for this month.
This is my 'first light' testing the new ZWO AM7 mount - the largest model in their harmonic drive lineup. I am happy to report it does indeed perform flawlessly in -20C weather 😄
I have a lot more to share about this setup soon!

@astro_Pettit I love that Nikon is in space, even though the brand names are covered over. What are you shooting with the 200?

Hanging out at home for the holidays? Turn some downtime into space time. Make a 2026 Moon Phases Calendar, and follow the lunar cycle all year long!

@chucksastropho1 Fantastic detail in the tail! I'm processing my C/2025 A6 shots tonight. It looks like the best tail detail is coming from people using shorter exposures. I'm working at f/7, so you've got me beat. How many seconds are you exposing for here?

@NebulaPhotos Does the comet move across the starfield during these exposures? How do you deal with that?

Another photo of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) from the morning of October 5th. I had 4 setups going. This one is the Askar SQA55 telescope with the ASI2600MC Air camera. 21 * 180” stacked. Note the little pinwheel galaxy (NGC 3184) in the bottom left corner. #astrophotography #comet

@fpfmusic Love this new song! The jumping between acoustic and electro instrumentation is great, plus the funky guitar and the variety of sounds in the hi-hats. Funny, I asked AI to "write" a country song earlier today. It can't match the care you put into song structure and details.

@chucksastropho1 How many hours exposure is this?
I drove into the desert last night, polar aligned, worked for a few hours capturing, drove home, slept 2 hours before work … and now have a little noisy data.
I think remoting-in takes the fun from this sport … yet that is one killer shot.
