My latest photo of the 'North America Nebula' 📷 I captured this enormous nebula region using my ultra-portable refractor telescope setup from my light-polluted backyard. This nebula covers an area of sky several times wider than the Full Moon. My favorite detail is the bright 'Cygnus Wall' area next to the Gulf of Mexico. There is so much structure hiding in this part of the sky. Here it is, Messier 16 - The Eagle Nebula, finally completed and I am quite happy with it! The pillars of creation can even be seen in good detail. This is what I worked on while I was at NSP this year in Bortle 1! This was about 9hrs of integration time (out of 17hrs total, the wind was really bad 🥲) I hope you like it 😄

The Lagoon Nebula ✨ Every time I see this object, I think back to the first summer I got into astrophotography. Warm nights outside with my camera, watching the Milky Way stretch across the sky and wondering what I might be able to capture. The Lagoon Nebula brings back memories of camping under dark skies, staying up far too late, and feeling completely amazed by what appeared on the back of my camera. It reminds me why I got started in this hobby in the first place. I hope you all get to experience at least one of those perfect nights this summer. Clear skies! ✌️

Equipment for days! With the trip now complete, it’s time to start working on the images I got. Hopefully I gathered enough that is usable. The wind out there made it nearly impossible 😤

@AstroBackyard I love it, exact same setup I used when renting a cabin in June. FRA300 was my first real scope, and with the 2600Air it's just too easy to take places.

I used the Askar setup for this image of the Lion Nebula too!
