I told Joe Maddon he should be the manager several years ago. He said if they asked him he would consider it.
My two years I played for @USABaseball in the @WBCBaseball (2013 and 2017), we had Joe Torre and Jim Leyland. We won in 2017 with Jim. He was the best and so much fun to play for. Joe was great too.

All you have to know about the World Baseball Classic is there are many major league managers right now that are coaching in the cactus and grapefruit leagues. Meanwhile Mark DeRosa who is not even good enough to be one of the 30 MLB managers, is managing team USA. It’s stupid.

My relationship with Ned crashed after he asked me to go on the DL and I said no.
I asked if they would sign me guaranteed for the 09 season if I went on the DL he said no.
He didn’t pitch me again really after that.
It wasn’t until Dale Sveum took over that I pitched again I would have been able to give you guys more of this ⬇️ that year.
Then I possibly could have had not been misused the next year getting me hurt effectively ending my MLB career. #Milwaukee #Thisismycrew #Brewers

We are completely rebuilding. We have to restock all basic equipment. We have kids who need gloves, cleats I wish there was a way to individually sponsor players.
This is a different situation than I’ve taken over before. These kids don’t have a lot of the equipment needed but they love being on the field. The diamond is their sanctuary! You can see it on their faces!

I have a proposal. Let’s start a whole new baseball league. Call it the XBL.
Xtreme Baseball League.
Everything is legal. Nothing banned.
Straight 90’s style.
When benches clear its hockey rules. You get a few minutes of fighting then it’s broken up.
Running over catchers, drilling hitters, taking out infielders on slides.
Managers are even allowed to brawl.
Fans can come on field and fight too. Would be awesome and really engaging.
I know @itsJohnRocker would be in.
It would be way better considering our current game is becoming more of a pillow fight everyday.

People who get upset about the way I (or anyone else) cooks and preps their brats are weirdos.
I’ve been told by many people that I make the best brats. They get a special bath then grilled for char. Put whatever condiments on them you want. Enjoy.

I’m getting torched on this app for admitting I put ketchup on a brat. Why is this sacrilege? A brat fresh off the grill, on a toasted Sheboygan bun, with ketchup and onions is fantastic.

I told my players:
There are no excused absences. There are reasons, some good some bad, but nothing is excused (unless you’re getting medical work done)
There will be consequences for every absent activity.
Every action in life has consequences, tough lesson to learn but I guess I’m the one that has to teach them.

Rickie’s managerial experience up to this point is coaching the last place team at Brewers Fantasy Camp back in January (not my fault, I played great as per usual). Probably not a bad idea for him to take some time on the bench and learn the role a bit more.

Rickie Weeks is expected to takeover as the Brewers bench coach. Pure speculation on my part, but this may allow him to essentially be an apprentice under Pat Murphy and perhaps someday takeover as a manager.
